JNR Ballet Company
Our junior ballet company (JNR) was created and founded by The International Ballet School founder Gina Tse, who danced professionally and entertained audiences around the world for decades before turning her attention to teaching. Passionate about the tradition of ballet and the art of performance, the junior company stems from the concept of ‘youth inspiring youth’ –– with enriching, high quality ballets that tell children’s stories and easily resonate with youthful audiences. The JNR Ballet Company is represented by the IBS pre-professional associate groups who are especially inspiring for younger audiences, their families and friends, and local communities that promote sustainable lives for young people.
The foremost aim for our JNR company is to make quality ballet performance more accessible for all, and to inspire and include all. We demonstrate this commitment with diverse and vibrant dancers of many ages and backgrounds, including the professional guest dancers we are delighted to be able to include in every IBS JNR ballet company production.
Dancing with our JNR Ballet Company
Our JNR ballet company dancers are given a complete experience in the magic of performance from an early age and learn all about their future profession first-hand. We focus on developing and evolving the classical movement of ballet, and we mix genres to include modern, neo classical and character dance. From an artistic standpoint, our children’s ballets bring a traditional story into the present day by using neo-classical movement and pushing the boundaries of classical ballet.
