During her twenty-five-year career as a dancer, she has been engaged by the Royal Swedish Opera, the Norwegian National Opera, Malmö City Theatre, and the Royal Dramatic Theatre, in addition to performing in numerous independent projects and musicals.
Emma has always had an interest in teaching and has pursued this alongside her career as a performing dancer.
She completed teacher training at the University College of Dance (Stockholm) and has been teaching—primarily classical ballet and pointe technique—since 2003.
Emma holds certifications in both the ABT and Vaganova teacher training programs.
Most recently, Emma Idén spent eight years working as a ballet teacher at the Swedish Ballet School in Gothenburg.
Prior to that, she served for several years as the artistic director of the Swedish Ballet School in Piteå.
